Privacy Notice

Who operates Oblita

Oblita is an independently operated online service based in Morocco. Privacy, data-protection and legal requests — including access, correction or deletion — can be submitted through our contact form. We reply to the address you write from.

What we collect

We only store what you choose to send us:

• Newsletter — your email address, the page you subscribed from, and the confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps. Signup is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm by email.
• Accounts — your email address, an encrypted password (or the identity returned by the sign-in provider you choose), a display name if you set one, and the listings you save.
• Deal submissions — the deal name, link and description you provide, plus your email address if you add one.
• Contact and advertising enquiries — the name, email, company or website and message you type into those forms.
• Technical request data — our hosting and database providers process ordinary server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to serve pages and block abuse.

We do not run our own analytics, do not sell or rent personal information, and do not buy visitor data.

Why we use it

Email addresses are used to send the newsletter you asked for, to run sign-in and account features, and to reply to your message. Submission and enquiry details are used to review the offer or partnership you sent. We do not use your information for anything else.

Who can see it

Access is limited to Oblita's editors and to the service providers that host the site, its database and its outgoing email. Those providers process the data on our instructions only. We do not share it with the providers whose offers we list.

Cookies and local storage

Signing in sets a session cookie so you stay signed in; it is required for the account area to work. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser and never sent to us. There are no advertising or tracking cookies set by Oblita.

Leaving and deleting

Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link, which stops all sending immediately. You can delete your account, or ask us to delete a submission or an enquiry, through the contact form. We keep information only while it serves the purpose it was given for, and delete it on request unless we are legally required to keep it.

Links to providers

Listings link out to each provider's own official provider or partner page. Once you follow such a link you are on that company's site, under their privacy policy — not this one.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update this page. Continued use of Oblita after an update means the revised notice applies. See also our Terms of Use.
